Roadmap To Building A 7-Figure Business In 2023

In 2022, I followed the exact roadmap with my agency and crossed over $100,000/mo in sales.

If you’re starting a business in 2023, follow this email to the T

This is your ultimate resource:

1. Master a skill

Goes without saying, but you can’t possibly imagine offering a service if you haven’t mastered it.

You need to be the best of the best.

2. Get 1-5 low cost/free clients

When you start, your focus shouldn’t be to build revenue.

It should be to build repertoire.

If your potential clients start seeing the value you can provide, they will come to you themselves.

Use these clients to get case studies and testimonials.

Templatize the steps you have to repeat over and over.

Use the process to create SOPs. These should be a set of algorithms a 2yo could follow to deliver the same results.

This may seem like a time consuming step, but when you start growing, these SOPs will be a lifesaver.

3. Learn how to set appointments

  • 2 AutoDMs

  • 2 mindmaps

  • 1 Thread

Once you have your schedule ready, start DMing prospects. Aim to message 10-20 daily and follow up with them.

Lastly, create a landing page to redirect vetted prospects. This is where you host your VSL and guide leads to your CTA.

4. Learn how to sell via consultative call

Close your clients into 2 calls

Call 1:

  • Build rapport

  • Offer free value so your clients see the solution

  • Understand their pains and the goals they’re trying to achieve

  • When trust is established, seek collaborative opportunity

  • Pitch your service

  • Book call 2

Call 2:

  • Get back on rapport

  • Answer any questions they have

  • Hard push for sale

5. Increase prices for high ticket offer/niche

Before you consider increasing your price, you need to pick a niche.

Why? Because the narrower your target audience, the faster you’ll close them.

Use the 3 steps to pick a niche and increase prices:

  • Identify which niche/brands you enjoyed the most and saw the most success in.

  • Update your landing page and VSL to resonate that niche

  • Deep dive into your competitors to see how they position their pricing. Aim for charging 25% less to increase closing rate.

6. Hire an employee once you’re doing $20k/mo

How do you source an employee?
1. Check your network to see if they can refer someone
2. Post an ad to find someone yourself
3. Hire temporary staff from Upwork

Once that’s done, here’s what the hiring process should look like for you:
1. Ensure talent can execute the role
2. Set expectations by clearly identifying roles, responsibilities, and KPIs

If you’re find the right man for the job, here’s how to onboard them:
1. Build a daily checklist with them
2. Close 1-2 test clients to train the employee
3. Fill in the missing gaps

Once you’ve hired someone to assist you, you’ll be in a position to scale to 40-50k MRR

7. Hire full time back end operator

Consider your backend operator as the one-for-all technical solution provider.

They’ll be responsible for managing:

CRM

Integrations

Project Management

Capacity Management

Customer Success Needs

8. Increase appointments to 50-100k/mo

Definitely a no-brainer:
Hire @wizofecom to grow and close clients from Twitter

9. Hire a closer

Hire someone who can close high ticket clients from Facebook groups and Discord channels.

10. Increase LTV and Customer Success System

To increase your LT, your focus should be on the internal processes - from the first handshake to the comms till the end of the month.

1. Build up on onboarding and target any FAQs
2. Create weekly reporting to improve transparency between you and the client
3. Conduct quarterly business reviews to track your success

11. Hire more members to scale

Build your team by hiring competent staff.

For that, you can either check your network or place an ad on LinkedIn. But make sure you are strictly focused on bringing in new values and skills.

Lastly, use step 6 as your SOP to hire and onboard new talent.
