  1. Whenever a client leaves your agency, continue to track their results (if possible).

  1. Aggregate the results of the clients whose performance gets worse after leaving.

  1. Create a case study or article highlighting why these clients failed after parting ways with your agency.

  1. Share this content with your active clients 60-90 days before their contract is up for renewal.

The message is clear: The grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Here’s how you might approach this with a client:

“Hey [Client Name],

I know our renewal conversation is coming up, and I wanted to share this article I wrote with you on past clients that decided to leave and what happened to their businesses [enter link].

Would you like to set up some time over the next week to discuss the future of your company and our collaboration?

Cheers,

[Your Name]”

By showing your clients the potential consequences of leaving…
