Here’s the tried-and-tested method I’ve coached 100s of agency operators on…

Step 1: Explain the "Why"

The easiest way to justify a price increase?

Tie it to an improvement in your service.

By positioning the increase as a way to deliver more value, clients will be more receptive to the change.

Consider framing the discussion with something like:

"We want to provide the best service possible, and in order to do this, we’re planning to add in a few things…

Our pricing will reflect this new value."

Step 2: Stack the Value

To make the price increase a no-brainer for your clients, you need to STACK the value you're offering.

There are two ways to do this:

  1. Perceived value adds

  2. High-margin value adds

Perceived value adds could look like:

  • Creating a community for them

  • Providing access to exclusive content or courses

  • Offering additional "office hours" for support

  • Giving discounts on your other offers/services

High-margin value adds could include:

  • Content syndication

  • Talent syndication

  • List syndication

  • Guest speakers

The key here is to get creative…

And really think through what would be a terrific, no-brainer value-add for your clients before bringing a price increase to the table.

Last, make sure to stack your value-adds in a way that favors your margins!
